Classes Through The Labor Day Holiday

The end of summer is upon us, marked by the Labor Day Holiday…

This is where I slightly panic and have to find opportunities to take class!  If you’re like me and want to know where to go, or want to try something new, check out what I have posted!  I have found a lot of wonderful new places to dance and interesting instructors by trying out new places during this time-frame!

Here is what I know about current, ongoing classes:

ARC: (taken from their web site)

Open Maintenance Classes August 19- Sept 8

(I confirmed that there is class Sunday, September 1st.  Still checking to see if Marie is having class on Monday, Labor Day).

These classes are offered as an option for dancers wishing to “stay in shape” and maintain their dancing throughout the interim time prior to the regular school year

Monday through Friday

10:00-11:30am Int/Adv Ballet Class

*11:30-12:30pm Intermediate Pointe class

*must attend ballet class prior to pointe classes

Sunday 12:00-1:30pm Int/Adv Ballet Class

EXIT SPACE:

They have ongoing classes through August 31st

*Annie confirmed that she will offer a special Labor Day morning class on Monday, September 2nd at 10:00 am.  The Monday evening classes are cancelled and the schedule is the same as posted for the rest of the week.  After next week, their schedule changes to their Fall schedule, listed on their web site.

Tuesdays: 10:00-11:30 am with Intermediate Annie,

6:30-8:00 pm Contemporary Ballet with Christina

Wednesdays: 6:30-8:00 pm with Intermediate with Annie, with a possible pointe class after

Thursdays: 10:00-11:30 am Intermediate with Annie, 7:30-9:00 pm Intermediate with Jennifer

Fridays: 10:00-11:30 am Intermediate with Annie

Saturdays: 10:30-12:00 Intermediate with Annie

I confirmed that their schedule is correct for this week that is posted on their web site.  They are closed starting this Saturday and through next week.

WESTLAKE DANCE:  Should have their regular class schedule this week.  I will check to see what’s happening next week.

I had a blast performing this last weekend with Relay Dance Collective!  Thanks to those that came out to see the show!

Workshop Dates

Monday-Friday, August 19-23, 2013

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm, Cost: $150

Location: Dance Fremont, 4015 Stoneway Ave. N.

Ages: 18 and over (special permission can be given to ages 16 and up with Director approval)

Details
•Each day will consist of a 2-hour contemporary jazz technique class/choreography workshop with choreographers Rhonda Cinotto and Paula J. Peters.
•Everyone who attends the workshop will be invited to participate in a large group piece for the October performance dates. (Rehearsals to be held in the evenings in September. Dates: TBD)
•The workshop will also serve as an audition for dancers to be cast in smaller works by Cinotto and Peters.
